Darfur Pod Members Giving 'Em 8 and More!!!
Jeanine has been working tirelessly on letter writing campaigns with http://www.lifenets.net/ to push for the No-Fly Zone and increasing involvement in Darfur. When I say tirelessly I mean working many nights into the next morning! If you have not visited the letter writing campaign site, do it today - CLICK HERE She has also been blogging here at zaadz.
Mary has participated in protests, written letters, signed petitions, blogging on zaadz, adding videos to zaadz, and has donated money to http://www.savedarfur.org/ and to the IRC (international refugee commission) via a friend. She is also very active in the area of divesting in Sudan. Mary is also working on reading Not On Our Watch.
Susan (Stone Lily) has a created a site called the GivingRing where she has a handcrafted ring for sale with profits going to the charity of your choice - one being the Darfur Diaries Education Project. She has also picked up the book Not On Our Watch to read during her current trip out East. Susan has also shared some interesting information with me that I hope to share with members in the near future.
Joel has created an excellent Wordpress Blog site that looks great and has a super list of links for learning and doing more about Darfur. Check out his Where is Darfur Blog!
Evonne is active with the http://www.stopgenocidenow.org/ organization and has also been involved with Darfur activities on Second Life website. She has posted a great video from Second Life and some videos about the i-ACT project.
David has created an aid organization to raise money for UNICEF and Darfur at http://www.yourwayforward.net/ and he has some great information on his blog there as well. He has also started a new zaadz Pod for his work - http://pods.zaadz.com/ywfaid
Claudia is working on fundraising for projects through http://www.grobanitesforafrica.com/
Apollia has an active micro-donations Pod on zaadz and is also committed to promoting Darfur issues and actively promotes this Darfur Pod!
Spiritual Enthusiast Shelley is teaching sonic yoga classes in NYC to the tunes of Instant Karma with the money going to Amnesty International. She also has some great Instant Karma logos on her profile that link you to the Instant Karma website! By the way if you live in NYC check out the Event section of the Pod for her upcoming class!
Sparxx has started blogging on Darfur since joining the Pod and is currently reading the book Not On Our Watch and has been writing some poems inspired by Darfur.
Moses is from Uganda and has started a pod for the Children of Africa. He has been providing great information about the situation in Uganda, especially the plight of children. He is also a real life friend of well known zaadster Clovis.
Samme is promoting the Amnesty International Instant Karma campaign, writing poetry and blogging about Darfur.
Lucid One has been active with the http://www.savedarfur.org/ site.
Sandra writes for poverty at http://poverty.suite101.com/
Happiness is a super Pod person and is helping with promoting this Pod. She is the cultivator of Camp Happiness: Blogs, WebTech & Media
