i have lost 8.4 lbs in the past 4 weeks.
i am getting 7+ hours of sleep on average every night (compared to 5 or less in the past).
i am more awake and thinking clearer.
i am eating a healthier diet and working on reducing cholesterol.
my kids are asking why i am working out :)
my wife has lost over 7 lbs.
our home life is starting to become more organized.
i actually walked a mile to get lunch yesterday (a salad) and walked the mile back to work too!
i am planning my next steps in reconnecting and building the life I want.
peace to all my friends...sending love and light.

Help

good for you, Mike!
must be in the air, I have started going out more and and look into my diet again, too. I have to be very careful with food anyway, because I'm allergic to many things, but there always is a way to get sloppy and do the don'ts if you don't stay present.
good to see you here again, awake and shining!
thanks for your comment gabriele…i am around just not quite as much, peeking in when i can…taking a little sabbatical. i do want to start writing again…but i have a lot of personal things i need to take care of right now…and actually i should probably do some writing just to help me through some of those things.
i have become somewhat addicted to caloriecount.about.com to track my progress. i guess having somewhat of an addiction to being healthy isn't too bad :) and it is nice to get some sleep and feel what is like to have true awakeness and be alert and aware.
take care talk soon :)
sounds like you're off to a great start! staying present and taking care of your body, moment to moment, is an incredible experience. if you're looking to further reduce cholesterol, you may want to give a vegan diet a try. a vegan diet has absolutely no cholesterol, which was something that i hadn't realized/considered before becoming a vegan. the other benefit to a vegan diet is that you don't really have to “diet” all that much (i dropped 20+ lbs in a month when i became vegan) and you get to walk around with that special glow that comes from eating compassionately and taking a huge action for the environment. :-)
